M.T.C. Part 4 con't

The League of Women Voters Questionnaire for Gubernatorial Candidates NJ 2009 continued

Q. Please discuss your energy plan for New Jersey. Please give at least one specific example.

Gary Stein (Independent, multiple slogans) – Cough, LOL. I discussed “energy” as well in the
Daily Kos on 8/31/09. I was cut off again; when the “Kossacks” figured out that
mrtambourineman was mightyquinntheeskimo, the un-contrite diarist- who previously was Gary Stein and wyattearp.

My Aug. 31 diary was titled, “electric cars, health reform, being banned”
At the very end of the
diary I mentioned nuclear power. I support new nuclear power. We can show the world- and left wing bloggers, that NJ doesn’t have it’s head in the sand, by beginning the licensing procedure and get one new nuclear power plant on line in 5 years time. Just like the other answers, wouldn’t that send a nice message to the business community. One new state of the art nuclear power plant
.

Q. New Jersey’s transportation system currently does not meet our population’s needs.
How would you address our infrastructure concerns (roads, rails, bridges, etc.)?

Gary Stein (Independent, multiple slogans) – Infrastructure needs? Are we kidding? I’ll
answer question 8 coming from the opposite direction. In other words, what happens when
Corzine, Christy or Dagget, not having the luxury to tell the truth like me- don’t take a meat
cleaver to the budget- the way I promised to do. They’ll be no money to fix “roads, rails, and
bridges.”

Q. What steps would you take to end “pay to play” in New Jersey? What other measures
would you enact to curtail corruption in the government?

Gary Stein (Independent, multiple slogans) – Corruption in New Jersey? You should see the
corruption in Mexico! Why do you think I’m a candidate? You’ll have to kindly go to my web
site to figure out that enigma. Needless to say, any corruption by public servants is a disgrace.
Seeing the corruption by elected officials down “Mexico way”, where I’ve been many times, I
thank god for small favors; even when I think of New Jersey, July 23, 2009, what I call Black
Thursday on my web site- Stein for Governor.

That reminds me, where is a “question 11?” “What would you do about unlicensed illegal aliens
driving on New Jersey roadways- threatening NJ residents with financial ruin or worse?”
Answer, I’d give them all drivers’ licenses immediately.

(12/21/09  initially there were only 10 questions)

Q. The state Constitution does not clearly define the role and responsibilities of the
lieutenant governor. What exact responsibilities will your running mate have if you are
elected?

Gary Stein (Independent, multiple slogans) – Mrs. Stein did me a big favor running for the
position of NJ’s- first- lieutenant governor. If we win, she can either submit her resignation on
Nov. 4th, the day after, or she can focus on animal rights and health care. The former being her
passion, the latter her new cause because she’s so grateful to finally have excellent coverage, and remembers those that don’t.

Frank Sinatra for Governor?

There’s often a quirky candidate among the third-party and independent folks who file to run for governor or Legislature — people like Dean Greco, who ran for Congress last year in the 7th District (that was the Leonard Lance vs. Linda Stender race) as the candidate of the All-Day Breakfast Party. Here’s his campaign home page … complete with him holding a bagel. He got 3,259 votes, finishing 4th out of 5 candidates with 1.1 percent.

This year’s winner appears to be gubernatorial candidate Gary Stein of Mullica, who’s running under a different slogan in every county. That’s odd, though not unheard of. Most of his slogans, however, are song titles — standards, primarily written between the 1930s and 1950s, mostly though not exclusively popularly performed by Frank Sinatra, which probably isn’t a bad play if you’re seeking votes in New Jersey.
