A hush comes over the crowd as the young congressional hopeful strides up to home base.  The determination on his face can be seen in the cheap seats up in the stands over right field.  He loosens his shoulders and rotates his neck a few times to the left, then an equal number of times to the right. He scrapes off the remaining brown powdery dust from the plate with his right foot, then takes a few test swings to gauge the weight of his ash white highly varnished bat engraved "Slugger."  Stein positions himself securely, stares directly into the pitcher's face and dares him to throw anything less than a perfect ball.  He takes one last gaze across the filled to capacity crowd who's come to see if he'll throw the game or see it through.  With a nod to the pitcher, the white orb begins its 100 mile an hour journey straight into Stein's range.  Slowly, methodically, like a brilliant and exacting scientist, he removes the bat off his broad shoulders, tilts it just slightly back behind the blade,.  With all the drive of his 53 years, and the frustrations of the past 2, he swings, taking aim at the little sphere in front of him, making contact with such extreme force, the kinetic energy sends the ball into the atmosphere.

*** the short story above is an "atta boy" email from the mysterious "M" after seeing the page "Shoo-bi-ondo," i.e.,  simple and to the point.... written by "bunnyhop" ........that's ok "M", this hopeless journey is not about me, it was really "bunnyhops" page you liked.  No big deal, it wasn't the overwrought page titled Deliverance, which I wrote...
